First Star Recycling was formed in 1997 with the mission to enhance the Nebraska's recycling infrastructure.
We started operations in the spring of 1998 in Fremont.
Surprised by our growth and to be closer to several new customers within Omaha, we relocated to a larger facility there in the fall of 1999.
Today First Recycling employs over 110 people at its Omaha and Lincoln recycling operations.
The company processes recyclables for businesses and communities throughout the Midwest and markets close to 100,000 tons annually to end users throughout the country and internationally.
